LONG ISLAND ARTIST SALLY KELLER HOSTS PLEIN AIR WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP AT FARRM WINES

Environmental Award Connection Brings Acclaimed Artist to Organic Vineyard

CALVERTON, N.Y., Friday August 15, 2025 – Long Island watercolor artist SallyAnne Keller will host a Plein Air Watercolor Workshop followed by wine tasting at Farrm Wines Vineyard on Friday August 15th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location: 156 Youngs Ave, Calverton, NY 11933

The $35 per person experience combines outdoor painting instruction in the vineyard with a tasting of award-winning organic wines. Visitors are encouraged to bring their picnic lunch.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONNECTION

Keller discovered Farrm Vineyard when she donated a watercolor piece to Long Island’s Sierra Club for their recognition of Rex and Connie Farr as “Environmentalists of the Year.” Her artwork became part of the appreciation ceremony honoring the pioneering organic farmers.

EXPERT INSTRUCTION

Keller has painted watercolors exclusively for over 25 years and was awarded 2nd place by the American Watercolor Society in 2023. She specializes in capturing Long Island’s atmospheric conditions and teaches workshops throughout the region.

“I capture in my seascapes and landscapes the atmosphere, fog, dust, wind, rain and sunshine,” Keller explained. Her work appears in galleries, museums, and charitable collections including the New Stony Brook Cancer Center.

WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE

9:30AM: Arrivals and set up
10:00 – 12:00 Plein air watercolor instruction in the vineyard
12:00-1:00 PM: Wine tasting

Participants will paint among Farrm’s vines during peak growing season at Long Island’s only certified organic and biodynamic vineyard.
